Happy St. Patty's Day!
Hope everyone enjoys a pint of the good stuff today.

I'm off the Airport - my flight leaves at noon today, and I arrive in Christchurch sometime around 5am on Saturday. Wow, how time flies! ; )

Journal Entry #2 - I'm Here

Woo! Hoo!

After and incredibly long flight I have finally arrived. I am a little tired but ready to tackle New Zealand as soon as they let me leave the airport.

Oh well at least they let me access the internet to update my blog, although it is difficult to type when someone is looking over your shoulder and porn sites, forget about it.

The flight over was a little more difficult than I had anticipated.

First, I was asked a number of times to stop running up and down the isles high fiving everybody. I can't believe you are supposed to just sit still the whole time? I probably shouldn't have had those 3 espressos before I boarded the plane. Oh well lesson learned.

Second, I was just trying to help the young mother on the plane whose baby wouldn't stop crying. Fucking Brat!

Note to self: Only fly on airlines where they sedate the children before the plane takes off.

I mean who knew the kid would start throwing up after I gave him some of my alcohol? I was just trying to get him to go to sleep.

Finally, can you beleive it the guy next to me died on the flight over? There was blood coming out of his ears. Somebody joked that it was because I never stopped talking the whole flight but I know it was an altitude thing.

Anyway, when the police asked us if we had noticed anything strange with him or what he was doing or saying when it happened everyone on the plane recited in unison;

"There is something about New Zealand that speaks to me, so I decided to have an adventure and travel to this gorgeous country to see it for myself. I've never travelled alone, before, so on many levels this will be an adventure. Just me, a backpack, 3 weeks, and New Zealand"

That's all I have time to write for now. I am being motioned over to the detainment area. I guess it's my turn to be frisked. I love New Zealand already :-)

You crack me up, Jay. People are going to be so confused with this version of my trip! I *love* it!

Thanks for the laughter. Can you hear me howling from all the way over here?
